Every feature is black — from their glossy, patent-leather-like fur to their nose leather and paw pads — contrasted only by their striking copper or gold eyes.

Formerly known as the Napoleon, the Minuet was created in 1996 by crossing Munchkins with Persian-group breeds — Persians, Himalayans, and Exotic Shorthairs. The result is a low-slung, round-faced cat weighing 5–9 pounds with the sweet, doll-like expression of a Persian on a compact Munchkin frame. Minuets come in both longhair and shorthair varieties, in every color and pattern imaginable — from pointed to bicolor to solid.
