Foster to Adopt a Dog: How the Process Works
Foster-to-adopt offers a trial period to see if a dog is the right fit, bridging temporary care and permanent adoption for a happy home.
Meet Frankie, a sweet and loving boy who is looking for his forever home! While he might be a little skittish when first meeting new people, he quickly warms up and adores attention. Frankie prefers not to be picked up, but he's more than happy to receive pets and affection on his own terms. He gets along well with other cats, making him a great companion for an existing feline friend, especially his buddy Cole, who is also available for adoption.
As a domestic shorthair mix, Frankie is generally a low-maintenance companion. His short coat means minimal grooming, typically just a weekly brush to keep him looking his best and manage moderate shedding. He has a moderate energy level, enjoying playtime and exploring his surroundings but also appreciating a good nap. He would thrive in a home where he can have regular interaction and feel secure, possibly with older children who understand his boundaries.
Frankie is FIV positive, but this doesn't stop him from living a full and happy life! FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, and Frankie is not aggressive, so he can safely live with other cats. He has been vaccinated and is ready to find a family who will give him the love and understanding he deserves. If you have questions about FIV, our rescue is happy to provide you with all the facts and reassure you that Frankie is a wonderful, adoptable cat.
