Asher

Asher is a goofy, clumsy pup with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. At 4-5 months old, he's a total velcro dog who thrives on being with his people. Once he's comfortable, his silly, talkative side emerges, especially when his foster siblings join in! Asher is still learning the ropes, diligently working on his potty and crate training. He's highly food-motivated, which makes training a joy, though he can get a bit over-excited at mealtime around other dogs.

As a mix of Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute, Asher embodies the strong-willed, intelligent, and adventurous traits of northern breeds. These breeds are known for their cleverness and independence, which means he'll thrive with consistent training and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and escape attempts. He has a very high energy level, requiring significant daily exercise, and his double coat will need moderate grooming, with seasonal heavy shedding.

Asher will flourish in an experienced home with owners who understand and appreciate the unique needs of northern breeds. A very secure, tall fence and diligent door management are essential due to his potential escape artist tendencies. He is dog-friendly and would likely benefit from a submissive male or female canine companion.
