Atticus

Atticus is a gentle giant with a heart as pure as his stunning all-white coat. Initially a bit reserved with strangers, this calm and affectionate boy quickly transforms into a devoted companion, eager to shower his people with sweet nose bumps and lean-ins for pets. He's a well-behaved and intelligent dog, already housebroken and proficient on a leash, even knowing how to 'sit' on command, especially when tasty treats are involved. Atticus enjoys being close to his family and is a great traveler, handling car rides and vet visits like a champ.

As a Great Pyrenees, Atticus embodies the breed's renowned loyalty and protective nature. These majestic dogs are known for their calm demeanor but also possess a medium to high activity level, thriving on outdoor adventures. His intelligence means he learns quickly, and he's ready to integrate into a loving home that appreciates his majestic presence and gentle spirit. Great Pyrenees typically have moderate grooming needs, requiring weekly brushing to manage their heavy, seasonal shedding.

Atticus would flourish in an active household that can provide plenty of outdoor time and mental stimulation, ideally with a secure 6-foot fence to keep him safe during his explorations. He gets along well with other dogs and would be happy in a home with canine companions or as an only dog. Due to his guardian nature and large size, a family with older children who understand large breed dogs would be an ideal match.
