Meet Augie, a lively young dog with a curious mind and an incredibly playful spirit! He's a charming boy who can find entertainment in almost anything, even playfully dragging his leash around like a personal toy. Augie is still learning appropriate chewing habits, redirecting his puppy mouthiness from pant legs and shoes to his own toys – an endearing work in progress. Treats are his ultimate motivator, and he loves them so much he sometimes forgets to chew, adding to his unique personality.

As a German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky mix, Augie inherits a wonderful blend of intelligence, loyalty, and exuberance. Both breeds are known for their high energy and need for mental stimulation. He enjoys regular strolls and would thrive with consistent walks and engaging activities to keep his bright mind occupied. He is generally good with other dogs and cats, though very large dogs can be initially intimidating for him, requiring proper introductions to build his confidence.

Augie is looking for a home that understands the needs of an active, intelligent young dog. While he has shown slight resource guarding around food bowls, this is manageable with a structured routine and has not been observed with toys. An ideal home would be without young children, or with children aged 12 and older, ensuring food and food bowls are kept out of reach during visits from younger guests. With patience, training, and plenty of love, Augie will undoubtedly become a cherished member of his new family.
