Regret Adopting a Cat? How to Handle the Feeling
Feeling regret after adopting a cat is normal. Discover common causes, understand your cat's adjustment, and learn practical steps to cope and get support.
Bear is an absolutely precious senior Great Pyrenees, part of a bonded brother-sister duo with Glacier, ready for all your snuggles. This sweet boy spent his entire life outdoors with his sister, and their devotion to each other is simply beautiful. Bear is a wonderfully mild-mannered senior who thrives on attention. His foster mom describes him as "the most gentle, calm and loving dog who just wants to be with his person." He walks well on a leash and is reliably house-trained, making him a delightful companion.
As a Great Pyrenees, Bear embodies the breed's gentle, calm, and protective nature. He is excellent with cats (if they are respectful), non-reactive to other dogs, and unfazed by donkeys and goats, though he's not a fan of chickens! Pyrs are known for their thick coats, requiring moderate grooming, and they do shed heavily. They have a moderate energy level, preferring comfortable outdoor spaces but cherishing indoor snuggles. Bear shows no resource guarding and meets new people with calm, loving energy, showcasing his wonderful temperament.
Bear's ideal forever home would be a farm with protected shelter offering warmth and dryness, or a house with a doggie door where he and Glacier can choose their own indoor-outdoor adventures. A secure, visible 4-foot fence is required to keep them safe. Whether you're a senior looking for gentle companionship or a family with older children, Bear and Glacier would make absolutely perfect, low-trouble additions to your life, bringing calm and affection to their new home.
