At just around one year old, she's past the chaotic puppy stage but still full of youthful energy and a zest for life. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and adults, showing a friendly and adaptable personality. As a Labrador Retriever mix, Canela embodies many of the beloved traits of the breed: intelligence, loyalty, and an eager-to-please nature. Labs are known for their friendly disposition and their enjoyment of physical activity, making them excellent companions for active individuals or families. Her short coat means relatively low grooming needs, but she will have moderate shedding. Expect a moderate to high energy level, requiring consistent exercise to keep her happy and well-behaved.

Canela is looking for an active family who can provide her with long walks, daily adventures, and plenty of opportunities to explore. Due to her background from Puerto Rico, she will benefit from committed humans who understand the importance of continued socialization. She would do best in a home with either a resident dog or a family dedicated to ensuring she has regular interactions with other dogs, whether through dog parks, walks, or doggie daycare. She's ready to join you on hikes or town outings, and then snuggle up for some well-deserved love.
