While he's not a traditional lap dog, he enjoys being close to his humans, always hopeful for a ball toss. Chef Boyardee is food-motivated and has learned commands like 'sit', 'wait', 'leave it', and 'spin', demonstrating an eagerness to learn with consistent, patient training. His signature excited counterclockwise spin is sure to bring a smile to your face.

As a Pug, Chef Boyardee embodies the breed's charming, comical, and affectionate nature. Pugs are known for their strong personalities, often described as 'clowns' of the dog world, and thrive on companionship. They are generally good with children and other pets, though Chef is still refining his polite play skills with other dogs and showed some initial uncertainty with a cat, suggesting slow introductions would be best. His short coat requires minimal grooming, but Pugs do shed moderately. Their moderate energy level means they enjoy daily walks and playtime, but are also content to relax with their family.

Chef Boyardee is looking for an active home excited to continue his training and channel his enthusiastic spirit. He is mostly housetrained and crate-trained, settling quickly after a brief protest. While he's a work in progress on leash, pulling and barking at other dogs and cars, his 'leave it' command is improving, especially with treats.
