Is your adopted cat not eating? Learn the causes, from stress to past trauma, and discover practical solutions to get your new feline friend eating again.
Coffee is a sweet and resilient young boy currently participating in HSMO's Foster-to-Adopt program. Despite undergoing heartworm treatment, he remains a loving and affectionate companion. He's looking for a calm environment where he can recover peacefully, enjoying gentle companionship and short, supervised walks. Once his treatment is complete, Coffee will be ready to unleash his playful, silly side and become a fully integrated, energetic member of your family.
As an Australian Cattle Dog, Coffee is inherently intelligent, loyal, and highly trainable. This breed is known for its strong work ethic and desire to have a job, making them excel in activities like obedience, agility, and herding. They form strong bonds with their families and are often protective. While currently needing a quiet recovery, a future home that understands the breed's need for mental stimulation and physical activity will see him thrive.
Coffee's ideal home is one that can provide a quiet, supportive environment during his heartworm treatment, ensuring he adheres to his limited exercise regimen. A family committed to continuing his veterinary care and understanding the foster-to-adopt process is essential. Once he's fully recovered, Coffee will flourish with an active family who can provide consistent training, plenty of exercise, and engaging activities to keep his sharp mind and energetic body happy. He will need to be leashed outside at all times.
