Meet Ellie, a sweet-as-sugar Great Pyrenees with a big personality! This cheerful girl is all smiles, leaning in for pets and affection with the devotion of a dog who would follow her people to the ends of the earth. Ellie is well-mannered in the home, housebroken, and kennel trained, knowing basic commands like "sit." She walks well on a leash, is good for grooming, and enjoys car rides. While she loves napping around the house, especially in front of doors, she also enjoys running and playing in the yard and wrestling with other dogs.
Great Pyrenees are known for their calm, gentle demeanor and strong protective instincts. Ellie embodies these traits, being wonderful with dogs of all sizes and an excellent alert barker to let you know when new people arrive. Her long, soft fur is perfect for petting, and she adores head scratches and sweet talk. This adaptable "boss-lady" Pyr prefers being inside to stay close to her family but also loves curling up in her favorite bed.
Ellie thrives in a home with secure, visible fencing at least 5 feet high, as she has shown herself to be an escape artist. She would do best with an experienced large-breed dog owner and would greatly benefit from having another dog for companionship. Ellie loves toys, particularly chew toys and bones, and is ready to bring endless love and gentle snuggles to her forever family. Please note she is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, but is otherwise up-to-date on vaccinations and preventative care.
