Foster to Adopt a Dog: How the Process Works
Foster-to-adopt offers a trial period to see if a dog is the right fit, bridging temporary care and permanent adoption for a happy home.
Foxy Girl is a sweet and resilient Shiba Inu mix who, despite a rough start, yearns for affection. She may have a few trust issues initially due to past trauma, but with a patient hand and a week to decompress, she quickly transforms into a loving companion who will beg for your lap and ear scratches. She is housetrained and, if left for longer periods, faithfully uses her pee pad. While she doesn't love her crate, she uses it as a safe space for eating, sleeping, and treats.
Shiba Inus are known for their spirited, independent, and sometimes stubborn nature, but also for their loyalty and cleanliness. Foxy Girl embodies many of these traits, being intelligent and alert. She gets along well with cats and small dogs, and seems comfortable with larger dogs that don't overwhelm her. Her moderate energy level means she enjoys daily walks and playtime, but is also content to relax with her family.
Foxy Girl is looking for a patient and understanding home that can provide her with the security and love she deserves. Experience with the Shiba Inu breed would be a plus, as understanding her unique personality will help her thrive. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventatives. A home committed to her continued socialization and gentle guidance will find a devoted friend for life in Foxy Girl.
