Huxley is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves to give kisses once he gets to know you. While initially timid around new faces, he quickly warms up and seeks to be best friends, especially if treats are involved! He adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine sibling to play with. Huxley is also good with young children, making him a wonderful potential family member. He is housetrained, following a consistent schedule, and is well-behaved in his kennel, often running in for a treat.
As an American Pit Bull Terrier, Huxley possesses a loyal, intelligent, and energetic nature. This breed is known for its strength, agility, and eagerness to please, making them highly trainable. They form strong bonds with their families and are often very affectionate. Huxley's short coat requires low grooming, typically just occasional brushing, and he has moderate shedding. His high energy level means he will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy and healthy.
Huxley is looking for an active family who enjoys daily adventures and can provide him with consistent exercise, ideally 1-2 hours per day. He would greatly benefit from a home with another dog to play with and a fenced yard where he can burn off some energy. While he hasn't been around cats for extended periods, his love for other dogs suggests he could adapt to a multi-pet household with proper introductions. If you're ready for a big, loving, and energetic companion who enjoys car rides and sleeping soundly on his own pillow, Huxley is the perfect match!
