Lump on My Dog: When to Worry and When to Wait
Found a lump on your dog? Learn when to worry and when to wait for a lump on my dog, especially for adopted pets with unknown histories.
Luca is a truly endearing pup, described by his foster as mindful, cutesy, and demure. He is quickly learning to trust new people and has an abundance of love to share once he feels comfortable. This smart boy already knows not to chew on shoes, preferring his own toys, which his foster greatly appreciates! He enjoys peaceful naps but is always ready for a playful session when awake. Luca loves observing the world from a window perch and is eager to meet and play with other dogs, making friends wherever he goes.
As a Shepherd/Terrier mix, Luca likely inherits intelligence, loyalty, and a strong desire for companionship from his Shepherd lineage, combined with the spirited and sometimes independent nature of a Terrier. German Shepherds are known for their trainability and protective instincts, while terriers can be energetic and playful. He will thrive with consistent training and positive reinforcement, channeling his energy into fun activities. His short coat suggests moderate grooming needs and shedding, requiring weekly brushing to keep him looking his best.
Luca is looking for a forever family committed to his socialization and continued development. He would greatly benefit from a home with another resident dog to learn from, or a family dedicated to ensuring he has regular interactions with other dogs through walks, dog parks, or daycare. An active household that enjoys daily walks and playtime will be ideal for his high energy and exercise needs. Luca promises to return all the love, loyalty, and kisses he receives, making him a wonderful companion for the right family.
