Moonwalk is a tenderhearted sweetheart with a stunning brindle coat and an even more beautiful soul. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she realizes you’re a friend, her affectionate personality shines through. She loves to be close to her people, often acting as a little shadow and transforming into a lap dog whenever you sit down. Moonwalk enjoys gentle play with stuffed toys and dog-friendly chews, preferring soft treats over crunchy ones.
As an American Pit Bull Terrier, Moonwalk is known for her loyalty, strength, and affectionate nature towards her family. While she possesses a moderate energy level, a good daily walk helps her be an absolute angel at home. She walks nicely on a leash with a harness and rides well in the car. She gets along with other dogs, as evidenced by her positive interactions with a Shih Tzu and a Lab mix, though she definitely prefers human company. Her short coat requires minimal grooming, and she has a moderate shedding level.
Moonwalk is looking for a forever home where she can feel safe and continue to bloom. A calm environment without a constant stream of new visitors would be ideal, as she thrives most when feeling secure with familiar people. She is almost fully potty trained but benefits from regular outdoor trips. While she can whimper a bit when kenneled, she settles quickly. Moonwalk would do well with a patient, gentle person who can help her build confidence, and she might appreciate another gentle, understanding dog to show her the ropes. An apartment setting is not recommended due to her occasional barking.
