Meet Roscoe, one of our charming 'lonesome dove boys' from Georgia! At just 4.5 months old, this sweet and social puppy is already making great strides. He's been wonderful with his siblings and shows a keen understanding of canine social cues, even with older dogs. Roscoe is described as sweet with everyone he meets and has adapted well to kennel training during the day. While he has displayed some food and toy guarding, this behavior is understood to stem from a past environment where resources were scarce, and he is already showing improvement with consistent care.

As an Australian Cattle Dog, Roscoe is expected to grow into a medium to large-sized dog with a strong working drive. This breed is known for its intelligence, loyalty, and high energy. ACDs thrive on having a 'job' to do, whether it's herding, agility, or extensive daily exercise. They are generally good with other dogs when properly socialized, making Roscoe's current interactions a promising sign. His short coat requires minimal grooming, but be prepared for moderate shedding, especially during seasonal changes.

Roscoe is looking for an active family committed to continuing his positive reinforcement training, particularly around resource guarding. An ideal home would provide plenty of mental stimulation and physical exercise, such as long walks, runs, or engaging play sessions. He would thrive with owners who understand the needs of a smart, energetic herding breed and can provide a structured, loving environment where he feels secure and cherished. Roscoe has already been neutered and received his first round of vaccines and deworming, ready to embark on his new life journey.
