Dog Reverse Sneezing: Scary But Usually Harmless
Dog reverse sneezing can be scary, but it's usually a harmless reflex. Learn what causes it, how to help your dog, and when to seek vet care.
Tiger is a truly handsome dog with soulful eyes and a perpetually puppy-like charm. Despite a nervous disposition stemming from a past hoarding situation, his desire to trust is evident, and he remains hopeful. He is already housebroken and crate trained, preferring the quiet comfort of his crate away from loud noises. Tiger enjoys car rides once settled and is quite the foodie, with cheddar cheese, steak, and Fritos being his favorite treats. He absolutely adores being brushed and receiving scratches behind his ears, which helps him relax and feel loved.
As a Great Pyrenees, Tiger embodies the breed's gentle giant nature, though he is cautious about who he considers "his person." He gets along remarkably well with other dogs, especially strong, dominant females who will engage him in play, and largely ignores cats. Given his sensitivity to noise, he would thrive with calm children who understand and respect his need for a peaceful environment. Great Pyrenees typically have moderate grooming needs due to their thick coats, requiring weekly brushing to manage heavy, seasonal shedding, and benefit from moderate daily exercise to stay healthy and content.
Tiger's ideal forever home will feature a secure, visible 5-foot fence, as invisible fencing is not suitable for his breed. He would greatly benefit from a household with at least one work-from-home parent who can provide consistent, quiet companionship and patience to help him build trust. A female canine sibling to show him the ropes would be a wonderful addition. His future family should ideally have experience with unsocialized dogs and be committed to providing gentle guidance and respecting his need for independence and quiet contemplation. With the right environment and understanding, Tiger's silly and affectionate personality will blossom.
