Can You Adopt a Cat If You Live Alone?
Adopting a cat when you live alone is entirely possible and rewarding. Learn how to choose the right cat, prepare your home, and navigate the adoption.
Underdog is a bold, confident terrier mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. As a heartworm survivor, he's already proven just how resilient and strong he is, and that strength shines through in his spirited, adventurous nature. He's ready to leave the past behind and dive headfirst into a life full of love, fun, and connection. Underdog is a true cuddler, always eager to sit in your lap or beside you for face pets and kisses. While he can be a tad shy at first, a treat and a few minutes are all it takes for him to become your devoted companion.
As a terrier mix, Underdog possesses a lively and intelligent disposition, requiring moderate grooming and shedding. He thrives on mental and physical stimulation, enjoying activities like wrestling with compatible canine companions. His impressive climbing ability, noted with 3-4 foot fences, suggests a need for secure boundaries and consistent training. He gets along with dogs of various sizes but does best with confident playmates who match his enthusiastic style, as he can overwhelm more submissive personalities.
The ideal home for Underdog is one that can provide a secure environment, preferably with a securely fenced yard of at least six feet high to accommodate his adventurous spirit and high energy. If no fence is available, his new family must be committed to several good walks per day with ample sniff time to burn off his terrier energy. He would be thrilled to be your one and only pup, but can also thrive with a confident, secure canine companion who enjoys rough-and-tumble play. Underdog would do best in a home without young children, or with children over the age of 15, as a calmer, more predictable environment helps him feel secure and confident.
