Hi, I'm Winnie, a sweet and gentle girl who has overcome a lot. My journey has been challenging, from being used for breeding and then abandoned, to experiencing fear and escape. Despite my past, I've learned to trust with patience and care, and I'm ready to find my forever home. I thrive with the companionship of other dogs, looking to them for confidence, comfort, and guidance. Having a calm and confident canine friend helps me feel safe and understand that everything is okay.

As a Golden Retriever, I possess a naturally friendly and devoted disposition. While my past experiences have made me a bit shy and sensitive, these traits are often accompanied by a deep capacity for loyalty and affection once I feel secure. Golden Retrievers typically enjoy moderate energy activities and require regular exercise to stay happy and healthy. My short coat will need moderate grooming to keep it tidy, and you can expect seasonal shedding.

I'm searching for a very special home that understands my needs. My ideal family would include at least one confident, friendly dog to be my buddy and guide. My humans should be dog-savvy, understanding of shy or sensitive dogs, and able to provide a quiet, calm household with a steady routine. I'm not suitable for a home with young children, as I find them scary. A big backyard with a tall, secure fence would be a wonderful bonus, and my new family must take all necessary precautions to ensure I am never lost again. With the right family, I know I can continue to grow braver every day and share all the love I have to give.
