Welcome to Mower County Humane Society, a dedicated all-volunteer 501(c)3 No Kill shelter committed to the welfare of animals. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for dogs and cats, ensuring that no animal is euthanized once their hold time expires. We proudly serve Mower County and the City of Austin, working closely with local law enforcement and the city pound. Beyond rescue and sheltering, we actively promote responsible pet ownership by sponsoring periodic reduced-cost spay/neuter clinics and hosting mobile surgical vet units on-site. We are funded entirely by adoption fees, donations, and fundraisers, with all proceeds directly supporting the care of our cherished animals.
