Mosho

Mosho is a wonderfully friendly and happy boy, always eager to make new acquaintances. This six-year-old Basset Hound arrived at the shelter with his pal, Cleo, but they are open to separate adoptions. He has lived with children before, and while he's an affectionate companion, his tendency to jump means he's best suited for homes with older children or adults who won't be startled or knocked over. Mosho is also quite the adept counter-surfer, a charming habit his foster family is diligently working on!

Basset Hounds are known for their laid-back nature, excellent sense of smell, and distinctive long ears. Mosho embodies many of these traits, enjoying a moderate energy level that makes him a great companion for daily walks and relaxed evenings. He gets along well with other dogs, showing a preference for canine companions his own size or larger, but he isn't keen on smaller dogs. Potential adopters should be aware that Mosho can be possessive of high-value items like bones around other dogs, though he reportedly shows no guarding behavior with humans regarding his regular food.

Mosho is fully potty-trained and up to date on his vaccinations and heartworm prevention, ensuring he's ready to settle into his new life.
