The Highland County Humane Society is a dedicated volunteer-run organization committed to promoting the health, safety, welfare, and compassionate care of animals. We rescue and rehome unwanted dogs and cats from the public, local pounds, and neighboring shelters in areas including Bath, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Pendleton, and Pocahontas counties. Operating without a physical building, our mission is to ensure every animal receives a loving home, providing essential veterinary services, food, and daily care through our network of foster homes. We proudly serve Highland County, Virginia, and surrounding communities.
