Welcome to the Humane Society of Shenandoah County, a dedicated volunteer-run organization committed to animal welfare. Our mission focuses on reducing the pet population through vital spay/neuter programs, including TNR initiatives and free fixing for pit bulls. We also strive to keep pets in loving homes by offering emergency veterinary assistance, a pet food pantry, and rehoming support. While we operate without a physical shelter, our network of volunteers works diligently from their homes to serve the animals and pet owners within Shenandoah County, Virginia, ensuring a compassionate community for all.
