The Southern Ocean County Animal Facility, operated by the Ocean County Health Department, is dedicated to providing temporary housing and care for stray dogs and cats. Serving the Ocean County area, the facility ensures all adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccinations and a general health exam from a veterinarian. They maintain a 24-hour receiving service for animals brought in by Municipal Animal Control Officers, aiming to find loving homes for every animal in their care.
